Definitions

• Recommender: A person who recommends a potential new associate to Sanctuary, who is registered with Sanctuary, currently working with or has worked with Sanctuary for a substantial amount of time previously.
• Recommendee: A new associate who has not previously worked for Sanctuary.
• Recommendation Date: The date that the recommendation is received by Sanctuary.
• Bonus Payment: Payment in the form of AUD $250 for the Recommender, which may be made as a cash payment or a gift card, depending on the Recommender's employment status.
• Qualifying Criteria: The criteria that must be met by the Recommender and Recommendee as set out in Clause 3.
• Compliant: Includes right to work in Australia, proof of work experience, First Aid certificate, NDIS check, identity documents, COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses), Bachelor of Nursing qualification, current flu vaccination, AHPRA registration, competency interview, and references.

Scheme

• The Sanctuary recommendation scheme is applicable only to Recommenders who recommend registered nurses to Sanctuary looking to work in Australia on a temporary or permanent basis. This scheme provides the opportunity for recommendations to be made and bonus payments earned.
• The scheme applies to recommendations for private and not-for-profit aged and home care providers.

Qualifying Criteria

• Recommendation: The Recommender must have explicit consent from the Recommendee to provide their details to Sanctuary. Recommendations can be made via telephone call to Sanctuary, and a record shall be retained by the consultant on file to validate the Recommendee. The recommendation must include the Recommendee’s name, profession, contact details, and the location where the Recommendee requires work. The Sanctuary team shall contact the Recommendee to verify their consent to be recommended, with the intention of securing them work engagements.
• Professions: For a recommendation to qualify, the Recommendee must work in the profession listed in this scheme.
• Compliance: For a recommendation to qualify, the Recommendee must pass the necessary checks to ensure they are Compliant and eligible to work.
• Worked Hours: The recommendation bonus payment will be payable once the Recommendee has completed 150 hours of casual employment or fulfilled an 8-week contract. The required hours must be completed within the specified timeframe.

Bonus Payments

• Bonus Amount: A bonus payment is made to the Recommender once the Recommendee has met the relevant qualifying criteria, terms, conditions, and the Recommender has requested payment. All bonus payments will need to be declared on tax returns. Bonus payments are non-transferable. 
• Claiming Bonus: It is the responsibility of the Recommender to claim their recommendation bonus payment by contacting the Sanctuary team no later than three months after the Recommendee has completed the required period (within 12 months) for their profession, in the given timeframe.
• Payment Method: The bonus payment may be made as a cash payment or a gift card, depending on the Recommender's employment status.

General Terms

Sanctuary reserves the right to:

• Reject a bonus payment request if:
  1. the Recommendee has not consented to their personal data being submitted
  2. the Recommendee has previously registered with Sanctuary
  3. the Recommender or Recommendee have not met the qualifying criteria, terms, and conditions
  4. the Recommendee works for a division of Sanctuary that does not run a recommendation scheme
  5. Sanctuary sees fits to do so, due to any other reason or circumstance that they deem as justified; or
  6. If Recommenders are deemed internal personnel, employed by Sanctuary.

Sanctuary reserves the right to:

• Vary the terms and conditions of this scheme at its absolute discretion or cancel/discontinue the scheme without prior notice.
