Aged care jobs in the Central Coast FAQs

We are recruiting for the following roles in the Central Coast:

  • Assistants in nursing (AINs)
  • Enrolled nurses (ENs)
  • Registered nurses (RNs)

Your hourly and salary rates will differ depending on factors such as your position, experience level and the shifts you work. Our casual pay ranges are:

  • AIN: $38 – $75 per hour
  • EN: $40 – $81 per hour
  • RN: $50 – $120 per hour

Additional earnings may be available through incentives, allowances, and bonuses for selected locations and contract roles.

For those working in or pursuing management-level roles, employment is typically permanent. Salaries for these positions generally fall between $110,000 and $130,000 per year, though this can vary based on your experience and the aged care provider.

Ongoing reforms in aged care have also contibuted to recent wage increases across the sector, with further improvements expected in the future.

These will vary depending on your role. An assistant in nursing will need one of the following:

  • Cert III/IV in Ageing Support
  • Cert III/IV in Individual Support (Ageing)
  • Cert III/IV in Health Services Assistance

An enrolled nurse will need:

  • A Diploma of Nursing (a two-year course)
  • An AHPRA registration upon completion

To be qualified as a registered nurse you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Nursing (a three-year university degree)
  • An AHPRA registration

You will then also generally need six months to one year of Australian paid aged care experience to work with Sanctuary.

We provide aged care opportunities across the Central Coast on both a casual and permanent basis. Casual and temporary positions typically involve covering shifts affected by sick leave, annual leave or staffing gaps, and are often required at short notice.

Permanent roles offer greater stability, along with opportunities for long-term career development and progression.
