FIFO Nursing Jobs FAQs

As a FIFO nurse, you carry out your regular registered nursing duties within a place that requires you to fly there and back. You will be in the location for a contracted amount of time, often between four weeks and three months.

A. We have FIFO nurse jobs available across the country, particularly in South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia. Examples of regions include Mount Gambier, Albany, Derby, the Great Southern region, the Kimberly region and more! 

Working in a remote location often means your hourly pay rate will be higher than if you were working casually in a metro aged care home. Factors that will influence your pay include your role, experience level, shift patterns and location.

FIFO nursing requires you to have in-depth experience, as it is likely you will be working with a smaller team and therefore be expected to hit the ground running. Often, we require at least 12 months of Australian aged care experience and for some locations, we will need remote area nursing experience too.
